Erin Kirby Releases Fan-Favorite Track “Pick My Own Flowers”
Nashville, Tenn. - Country artist Erin Kirby has released her new single, “Pick My Own Flowers” available today, Friday, January 26. After releasing a snippet of the song to her rapidly growing following on TikTok, the Nashville based artist quickly discovered that her comment section was being flooded with pleas for an official release. Co-written by Erin, Phil Barton and Thomas Finchum, “Pick My Own Flowers” emphasizes the importance of having your own back. With its catchy melodies and poignant lyrics, the song beautifully captures the essence of breaking free from societal expectations and the idea that one's worth is tied to having a significant other. Instead, it celebrates the journey of self-discovery and the realization that true happiness comes from within.
With national airplay, including Zane Lowe’s Apple One Radio Show, and international playlist placements with Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal, Erin is just getting started. Her first release of 2023, “Boys These Days,” marked her debut in the country genre. The Georgia native went on to release two more solo singles last year, “Raised In A Barn” and “Redneck Rich,” as well as a duet with Sony Music Nashville's Kameron Marlowe. Erin was invited to record an official version of the song after she shared a TikTok duet of Marlowe's song "I Can Lie (The Truth Is)" that went viral with over 1 million views. The two debuted the duet at the Grand Ole Opry and Billboard featured the song as a ‘Must Hear New Country Song’ in their weekly roundup.
Erin will join other rising women in the genre as she takes the stage on February 27 at 7:30pm for the Song Suffragettes x CMT Next Women of Country round at City Winery in Nashville.
